HairKingCallum started as just me, my hands, and a deep love for curls but over time it’s grown into something much bigger. It’s become a place where people feel seen, listened to and safe. A place where hair is treated with respect and where education, care and integrity come first.

I’m now working towards creating a new salon space one that truly reflects those values. A calm, grounded environment built specifically for textured and curly hair. A space for clients, for education, and for community.

The truth is, this journey hasn’t been straightforward. Behind the scenes there have been challenges that many of you won’t have seen unsuitable space, unexpected costs, and difficult decisions and I’ve had to slow down and choose to do this properly, rather than quickly.

A few people have gently asked how they can support me through this next chapter. After a lot of reflection (and a lot of internal back-and-forth), I’ve decided to open this up as an optional way to be part of what I’m building.

There is absolutely no expectation or pressure to donate.

This isn’t about asking, it’s about inviting.

• Fixtures, accessibility, and essential setup costs

• Creating an environment that reflects the care, safety, and intention behind my work
