In 2020, I finally launched my conscious footwear brand for women. For years I lived very modestly and used my money towards self-development, footwear knowledge, and to build my business. While I am proud of my accomplishments so far, I need your help!

 

 

 

Our first collection titled the "I AM COLLECTION" was based on four of my favorite affirmations. I am Enough. I am Magic. I am Unique. I am Confident. Each pair of shoes came with a handwritten note and a card with the affirmation.

 

 

 

Now onto what is next...

 

Celebrating, empowering, adorning women has always been the core of the Marqueeta Hughes brand. Over the years, I have gotten the opportunity to visit Africa three times (Lagos, Cairo, Zanzibar) and every time I have felt the strong urge to infuse culture and craftsmanship into my brand! This December I will heading back (Lagos, Accra, Nairobi) for 6 weeks. During this time I will explore the creative scene and design a shoe based on each city. I will be documenting my time there so that customers will be involved in the process. I don't want to just take and not give back therefore, for each shoe sold, 20% will be donated back to three women designers in the cities.
