United 2 Help is a US-based charity founded by a small group of women from different countries committed to building rudimentary/low-cost community buildings for school and medical needs for displaced communities overseas with an initial focus in Mozambique.

Following Cyclone Idai, the organization was founded to respond to the needs of the tens of thousands of refugees and displaced people who found themselves in rural areas with absolutely no infrastructure. No schools. No clinics. Nothing.

United 2 Help has raised money through local fundraising dinners to send food and medical supplies over the past few years and to develop architectural plans for a medical center it is looking to fund.

We raised money and built our first school building with 2 classrooms but we need to finish the overall project including the building of the bathrooms.

In Phase 1, which we completed, Mutua school project built two classrooms for basic education. In Phase 2 - which we are currently fundraising for - we will add another building with three classrooms and small office space for workforce training (cooking, sewing, construction).

This is a bare-bones minimum project. The school is being built out of cement bricks, cement and rebar with rudimentary electricity and an outhouse. It may seem beneath standards for the communities we are reaching out to, but it will be everything to the local children and their families.

In addition to serving as a school for children, the new buildings will also serve as community meeting spaces as well.

Our project is underway and we have demonstrated our ability to build but we need donations to complete the project. Please donate on GoFundMe to help us finish the school and buy initial furnishings and supplies. All additional funds will go to replenish the charity's funds earmarked toward a maternity clinic in Buzi.

United 2 Help is incorporated in New York, in the United States. We have trustworthy local volunteers supporting our effort. They buy supplies and help with record keeping and coordination with local building inspectors.
