THIS IS BIGGER THAN A RESTAURANT
Every meaningful thing I’ve ever seen built started the same way—not with a big investor or a shiny check, but with family, friends, and community saying, “I believe in you.”
This campaign is about that moment.
I’m launching Keio’s Kitchen, a community-rooted restaurant built on good food, honest work, and the belief that when we support each other, everyone eats—literally and figuratively. This isn’t just a place to grab a meal. It’s a place where jobs are created, culture is preserved, and people feel seen when they walk through the door.
Like so many small businesses, we’re at the most critical stage—the beginning. The point where a little help makes a big difference. The kind of help that doesn’t come from institutions, but from people who know you, trust you, and want to see something good exist in the world.
This is where family and friends come in.
If you’ve ever said, “Let me know how I can support,” this is that moment. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something from day one—not just as a customer, but as a contributor—this is your invitation.
Your donation helps secure the space, turn on the lights, hire local workers, and bring a vision to life that will serve the community for years to come. It helps create opportunity where it’s needed. It helps build something we can all point to and say, “We did that together.”
Whether you give $25, $100, $500, or more, your contribution isn’t just money—it’s belief. It’s encouragement. It’s momentum. And momentum is everything at this stage.
Communities don’t grow because one person does everything. They grow because many people do something.
Thank you for being part of this story. Thank you for standing with me early. And thank you for helping turn a shared vision into a place that feeds people, employs people, and brings people together.
This is how legacies start—one contribution, one shared effort, one community at a time.

~What Keio’s Kitchen Will Be~
Keio’s Kitchen is being built to become the culinary and cultural heartbeat of Ennis, Texas. It’s a full-service soul food restaurant rooted in tradition, elevated with care, and designed for connection.
This isn’t fast food and it isn’t fine dining—it’s intentional dining. The kind of place where the food comforts you, the music slows you down, and the atmosphere invites conversation. Jazz, gospel, R&B, and neo-soul set the tone while guests enjoy elevated Southern classics made with consistency, pride, and respect for the culture.
Keio’s Kitchen fills a powerful gap in the community. There is NO COMPARABLE SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT WITHIN A 30-MILE RADIUS, which positions it not just as a local option, but as a destination for families, professionals, church groups, celebrations, and visitors from across Ellis County and Southern Dallas County.
This will be a place where:
• Families gather after church
• Friends linger over shared plates
• Out-of-town guests are proudly brought
• Jobs are created and skills are developed locally
Keio’s Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a place people return to because it feels like home, elevated.

~Why Now Matters~
Keio’s Kitchen is not an idea waiting to be figured out—it’s a ready-to-launch concept with approvals in place, a prime location identified at 808 W. Ennis Avenue, and a clear operational and financial plan already completed.
This is the narrow window where community support has the greatest impact. Securing the space now is critical, as the area is growing quickly and opportunities like this do not stay open long. Losing this moment would mean starting over—not because the vision isn’t strong, but because timing matters in real estate and small business launches.
Early support doesn’t just help—it locks in the foundation. It allows the restaurant to move from planning to presence, from vision to doors opening, from “coming soon” to serving the community daily.
This is the moment where momentum decides everything.

~How Your Support Will Be Used~
Every dollar raised through this campaign is focused on launch-stage necessities—the critical expenses that must be handled before Keio’s Kitchen can open and begin serving the community.
Your contributions will be used to:
• Secure the restaurant location
Covering upfront lease and space-related costs to lock in a high-visibility, centrally located building and prevent the opportunity from being lost.
• Initial setup, permits, and compliance
Ensuring the restaurant opens fully compliant, safe, and ready to operate professionally from day one.
• Essential kitchen equipment and supplies
Outfitting the kitchen to deliver consistent, high-quality food at scale—comfort food done right, every time.
• Early staffing and training support
Helping bring on local team members and begin creating jobs immediately, with a structure designed for stability and accountability.
This campaign is intentionally focused on startup and launch costs only. Larger operational funding, inventory, and long-term expenses are already planned through separate funding sources, allowing your donation to have direct, immediate impact right where it matters most.
Every contribution helps move Keio’s Kitchen closer to opening its doors and becoming a place the community can gather around with pride.
