About the Gaskins Foundation
The Gaskins Foundation was founded with a bold vision: to ensure that all students—especially those from underrepresented communities—have access to high-quality STEM education and the support needed to thrive. Inspired by the personal journey of Dr. Whitney Gaskins, a trailblazing engineer and educator, the Foundation was created to address the critical gaps in STEM exposure, mentorship, and opportunity.
Our work is rooted in the belief that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. From elementary school math circles to high school engineering programs and adult tech certification courses, the Gaskins Foundation is building a robust STEM pipeline that begins in kindergarten and extends into careers. We work hand-in-hand with schools, community organizations, colleges, and industry partners to provide culturally responsive curricula, hands-on learning, mentoring, and wraparound support.
Through our signature programs like STEMulating Saturdays, Women of Color in Tech, and our Ethics in AI Camp, we’re not just teaching science and technology—we're building confidence, creating pathways, and shaping a more inclusive future STEM workforce.
With your support, we can expand our impact and ensure that every student—regardless of background—has the tools, training, and mentorship to become the next innovator, engineer, or data scientist.
