Help Build The Fix Community Darkroom

Donation protected
We’re raising $3,000 for the darkroom and $3,000 for Prince George’s Immigrant Rights Collective. Please contribute!

The Fix Community Darkroom is a dedicated space for analog photography, designed for anyone who wants to explore and celebrate the art of film. By building this community darkroom, we aim to create a welcoming environment for photographers of all skill levels to work, learn, experiment, and connect.

This fundraiser supports the physical build-out. Walls, sinks, ventilation, and the equipment that makes the space actually function. You can sponsor a specific part of the darkroom, from an enlarger to the door itself.

We’re grateful for the community support we’ve already received through equipment donations and hands-on help. Funding will help cover plumbing, walls, and additional equipment both big and small, including enlarging lenses, a film scanner, chemical containers, tongs, trays, loups, and more, as well as a part-time summer intern.

We’re also raising funds for our neighbors impacted by ICE. Prince George’s Immigrant Rights Collective is a group of neighbors working to empower and protect immigrants in Prince George’s County. PGIRC serves as a hub for education, advocacy, and community-driven mutual aid.

Sponsor a piece of the darkroom and leave your mark. Each item can be named in honor of you, a friend, or anything you want to see live on in the space.
