Help build the first Paralympic Training Center

Gregory Tyler, originally from Mission Viejo, CA, is a decorated para-athlete, technologist, and entrepreneur. After graduating early from Tesoro High School in 2007, he moved to Sacramento to attend college and join the ROTC at Sacramento State University. In 2008, a catastrophic motorcycle accident left him with severe injuries, including the loss of his left arm and paralysis of his left leg. Despite this, he defied medical expectations and embarked on an extraordinary athletic journey.

Beginning in a wheelchair, Gregory trained under a para-triathlon coach and, within two years, completed his first race. He went on to compete in over 50 triathlons, representing Team USA at the 2012 World Championship. He later transitioned to velodrome racing, placing 3rd at the national championship and serving as a 2016 Paralympic alternate.

Gregory’s tech career evolved alongside his athletic pursuits. Self-taught in IT, he worked on early Android OS development and Amazon Cloud projects. In 2021, he earned a B.S. in Computer Science, followed by a Master’s in Computational and Data Sciences from Chapman University in 2023. At Chapman, he also founded and coached the triathlon club to notable success.

During the 2020 pandemic Gregory launched New Dimension Dental Management, an AI automation company. His system rescued a struggling dental office through process automation, increasing profitability and achieving near-perfect insurance claim acceptance rates.

Later, he joined Children’s Hospital Orange County as a Computational Research Scientist, using AI to address COVID-19 challenges. While triathlon was shut down during covid, he was recruited to Team USA in fencing, narrowly missing qualification for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

In 2024, Gregory completed a commercial real estate certificate at Cornell University and secured pre-lease agreements with multiple therapy and sports organizations. He also purchased a building to support the first adaptive sports center in Bakersfield, CA.
