Michael's Eagle Project: Outdoor Stage & Classroom
Help me Build an Outdoor Stage & Classroom for St. John Students!
Support My Eagle Scout Project to Inspire Learning, Creativity, and Community
Hi! My name is Michael Wilson, and I’m currently working toward achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting. For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I am supporting my elementary school, St. John the Evangelist School in Canton, MA, by designing and building a multi-purpose outdoor performance stage that will also serve as an open-air classroom and student collaboration hub.
St. Johns serves over 260 students from preschool through 8th grade, and this new outdoor space will give them a vibrant, flexible environment where they can perform, learn, share ideas, and connect with nature and each other. So, this isn’t just about building a structure—it’s about creating a space that inspires creativity, supports education, and builds community.
Why I Need Your Support
While I will be leading the planning, design, and construction efforts—along with volunteers and fellow Scouts—I can’t complete this project without your help.
I have a lofty fundraising goal of $6,000—which will be used to purchase the building materials needed to make this outdoor stage a reality. Any funds collected beyond what is needed for this project will go directly to the St. John's drama program.
