Help Us Build a School for At-Risk Children in Arusha

This January, Paul will return to Arusha to build a school and daycare for 120 vulnerable children aged 3-7. This facility will provide not only education but also a safe and nurturing environment for these children. After the initial 3 months the school, similar to the orphanage, will be fully self sufficient.

Under the model, parents will contribute what they can afford toward the porridge provided each morning and the salaries of three full-time teachers (at $40/month per teacher). These minimal operational costs ensure that the school will remain sustainable long-term.

Thanks to a new initiative by the Tanzanian government, Paul has secured a 100-year lease on land specifically allocated for social work projects. This school will be named Sister Mary’s, in honor of Paul’s late aunt and godmother, Sister Mary Burkart, who devoted much of her life to helping those less fortunate than her.

Our Goal: $6,500

We are seeking to raise $6,500 to fund the construction of the school and cover its first three months of operational costs. A detailed breakdown of expenses is available in the accompanying spreadsheet.
