Hi, my name is Melba. I’m a Dominican American author, poet, and the founder of Poetic Nectar.

I’m raising funds to bring to life a one of a kind mobile bookshop and performance space centered around poetry, healing, self discovery, art, and community.

This is deeply personal to me, but it’s also something I believe is needed.

We don’t have many spaces anymore where people can slow down, connect, and experience something real. Spaces where poetry is not just read, but felt. Where local artists and poets are given a platform. Where someone can come across a book that speaks to them at the right moment and walk away changed by it.

I’m creating Poetic Nectar to be that space.

A traveling bookshop and stage that brings together poetry, self help, art, and community in a way that feels intentional, inspiring, and human. A space that highlights local voices, diverse authors, and stories that deserve to be seen, shared, and felt.

This isn’t just about selling books. It’s about creating a place people can walk up to and feel something shift within them. A place where creativity, reflection, and connection can exist together.

This is one of the first ideas in a long time that has made me feel genuinely excited about the future, and I’m ready to bring it to life.
