Help Build Permanent Homes for 101 Children in Uganda
Together Empower Global Network are raising £50,000 to help build safe, permanent homes for 101 vulnerable children in Uganda who are currently living in overcrowded rented accommodation, with some children sharing two to a bed.
This fundraiser supports God in Action, a grassroots project led by Mandela, who has dedicated his life to caring for these children day in and day out.
Why This Matters
Right now, the children live in temporary housing that is not suitable for growing, learning, or feeling safe.
God in Action now has land secured and a clean water well in place, creating a real opportunity to move the children into permanent homes and long term stability.
My friend and colleague Pete Cohen has been working closely with this project for over five years, helping to secure the land and fund the water well. This is not a new idea. It is the next step in a proven commitment.
What £50,000 Will Help Provide
• Two permanent dormitories on the farm
• Shared washroom facilities
• Beds and basic furnishings
• An accessible van for school transport
This will allow the children to move out of unsuitable rented accommodation and into a safe place they can finally call home.
Looking Ahead
The long term vision is to create small family style cluster homes, where children live in groups with dedicated caregivers, gaining stability, belonging, and the care they need to thrive.
This is about building futures, not just buildings.
A Message from Mandela
These children are part of my life. With your help, we can give them a permanent home, safety, and hope for the future.
