Our Story: The Need for a Mosque in Mount Pleasant, TX

For years, the Muslim community in Mount Pleasant, Texas, has prayed in rented spaces, makeshift rooms, and even our own homes. We have always dreamed of a dedicated mosque—a sacred place where we can pray, learn, and grow together.

Alhamdulillah, we have taken the first big step—we purchased land to build Mount Pleasant Islamic Center (MPIC), a masjid that will serve our community for generations to come. But now, we need your help to turn this dream into reality!

Why We Need Your Support

A mosque is more than just a prayer space—it is the heart of the Muslim community. MPIC will be:

✅ A place of worship – A beautiful masjid where we can pray five times a day and gather for Jumu’ah and Taraweeh.

✅ A center for Islamic education – Teaching Quran, Arabic, and Islamic studies to children and adults.

✅ A hub for community service – Providing food drives, charity programs, and support for those in need.

✅ A place of unity – Bringing together families, youth, and elders to strengthen our faith and connections.

The Cost & Our Goal

To build a mosque that can house 400 people, we need about $1.2 million for construction, utilities, and essential facilities, including:

The main prayer hall

Dedicated wudu areas and restrooms

Classrooms for Quran and Islamic studies

Parking and community space

Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to completing this house of Allah (SWT).
