Hi friends! We’ve just been presented with an opportunity we couldn’t pass up, a turn-key Oakland establishment to nurture with care, creativity, and purpose.

The current owner approached us, believing in our experience, vision, and drive to carry this beloved space forward. Entrusted by them and the community, we’ve stepped into this moment with deep intention and gratitude.

This fundraiser will help us bring this dream to life, an offering to the city we love. While we’ve invested our own savings, we’re calling on our community to help us cross the finish line. Your contribution will support renovations, permits, a liquor license, and legal/administrative costs to lay the groundwork for a lasting, community centered venue.

We are an Oakland-based power-house team with a shared commitment to cultivating spaces that inspire connection, celebration, and self-expression. One of us brings over two decades of experience in bar leadership and community programming. The other is a celebrated DJ and curator known for music-driven experiences that unite generations and backgrounds. We bring a rare combination of experience, blending industry knowledge, cultural insight and deep community roots.

We've chosen to name the venue Golden Ratio. It's a name that reflects our philosophy and is a natural blueprint found in everything from seashells to symphonies. It's the sweet spot where music slaps, cocktails hit right and community feels real.

Together, what we're creating encompasses everything we’ve built across the Bay. This is more than a business, it’s a continuation of our work, rooted in care and shared purpose. With your help, we’ll create a space where people come as they are and leave more connected.
