Help build a Masjid in Yasin Khalifa’s name

Many of you know that we sadly lost our dear brother Yasin this past week, after a year long battle with Leukaemia.

 

My brother Yasin had a wish to build a masjid for those less fortunate, so we would like to fulfill this wish and raise funds to build a masjid through the charity Al KHAIR Foundation in Africa.

 

My brother had a real close connection to our local masjid in Nuneaton, where he volunteered a lot of his time helping charity events, facilitating mosque visits for communities from across the country, helping to provide iftar and suhoor to those who observed ithekaf just to name a few actions.

 

He spent a lot of time helping the Muslim youths in Nuneaton with sport activities. He always visited the sick and elderly. He supported those who had suffered bereavement.

 

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]

 

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” [Bukhari]

 

The mosque will be in my brothers name and be esaale sawaab for all murhooms who have passed away.
