Help Build Libraries for Children in Rural Bangladesh

Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Saif Mithu, and I am the founder of Bidya Bikash, a small library movement bringing the joy of reading to children in rural Bangladesh.

In many remote villages, government-run primary schools have no libraries at all. Children aged 4 to 11 have very few opportunities to read anything beyond their basic textbooks. Unlike their peers in cities, they miss out on storybooks, science adventures, fairy tales, and the beautiful world that reading can open.

Since 2024, I have been personally saving from my salary to fund and open 29 school libraries in Lalmai, Comilla. Each library is filled with carefully chosen books — stories of history, science, religion, moral lessons, inspiring lives, and imaginative fiction — designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

But there are still 38 schools waiting.

Opening a library for each school — even a small one — costs money for books and basic supplies.

I cannot do it alone.
That’s why I am asking for your support.

£100 can set up a full mini-library for one school!

Every book you help place in a child's hand is a door to a new world.

Please join me in this journey. Help us give these children the gift of reading, imagination, and opportunity.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
