In the small rural village of Kyanjiri, Central Uganda, over 150 bright and determined children gather each day at Ebenezer Junior School. This school is more than just a place of learning—it is a safe haven, a foundation for the future, and a community anchor.
With your support and that of our dedicated partners, we’ve already made incredible progress together:
- Built a security fence to keep students safe
- Installed security lights for safety at night
- Added windows for better ventilation and light in classrooms
- Constructed a playground where children can play and dream
- Supplied batteries for solar panels, ensuring electricity and reliable lighting
- Leveled the ground for a soccer field, giving students space to build teamwork and confidence
However, we now face the next urgent challenge.
Currently, these students have no cafeteria. Meals are eaten outside under the hot sun, or squeezed into classrooms not meant for dining. This isn’t just uncomfortable—it can be unsafe, unhygienic, and discouraging for children who rely on school meals as a vital part of their day.
That’s why we are raising funds to build a large cafeteria at Ebenezer Junior School—a space where students can gather, share meals, and find nourishment and community together. A cafeteria will:
- Provide a safe, clean, and shaded place for children to eat
- Help improve student health and focus in class
- Foster a stronger sense of community and dignity
- Create opportunities for the school to host gatherings and events
