Hi everyone — my name is Shamus McCabe, and I’m the owner of Four Leaf Homes, a local construction company based in Southwestern Ontario.
We’ve recently met a family in Chatham who urgently needs our community’s help.
George has lost both of his legs — one to asbestos poisoning, and the other due to diabetes. His wife is also in a wheelchair. Right now, they don’t have a safe way to enter or exit their home.
We’re stepping in to build them a professionally engineered, permanent, and code-compliant wheelchair ramp — one that’s safe, durable, and designed to last.
Our team at Four Leaf Homes is donating all of our time and labor, but we need your help to raise $15,000 to cover:
• Professional permit drawings and engineering
• High-quality materials and hardware
• Concrete footings and accessibility-grade ramp construction
• Railings and potential weather protection
• Any unexpected site needs that come up
This isn’t just about building a ramp — it’s about giving this family freedom, independence, and dignity in their own home.
Every dollar helps, and if we raise more than what’s needed for the ramp, 100% of the remaining funds will go directly to the family to support other accessibility-related needs.
Please donate if you’re able

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
