Bringing "Buzy Bugz Playland" to Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids is growing, and our kids need a place to grow with it!

We are Bobi and Betti, aka The Sisters, and we have a vision. A 10,000-15,000 sq. ft. indoor playground in Grand Rapids MN designed specifically for imagination, safety, and community. We’re calling it Buzy Bugz Playland aka The Hive, and we want YOU to be a founding member!

The Sister's Vision:

We have co-founded Buzy Bugz Playland through the love and care we have provided for young children over the last decade. Our vision includes old school analog play, STEM based play learning and healthy living! An indoor playground with a healthy cafe and hidden education!

From The Sisters:

'As parents and community members, we know the struggle of finding a clean, safe, and engaging space for our kids to play, especially during our long Minnesota winters. Buzy Bugz Playland is our gift to the children of the community.'

We've based our operation on our DISH initiative; 4 core pillars to ensure that all children experience the magic of play! Our four core pillars are:

Discovery (STEM-based learning, physical exploration, relationships and more)

Inclusion (All accessible, no child turned away scholarships, sensory friendly )

Safety (RFID secure entry/exit, Highly trained staff, ASTM certified equipment)

Hygiene (Gold Standard sanitation protocols, outside company cleaning, washing stations)

Why We Need the Community:

While we are working hard on the heavy lifting of business loans, construction, securing a location, community outreach, planning and more; there are a few essentials that your donations will go directly toward:

Ins & Outs: Licenses, Filing fees, blueprint design, website build out,consultation fees, etc.

Earnest Money: Between us and our community, we know we can make this happen. We are currently looking for a location with a Realtor!

Reward descriptions:

Recognition = Your name and/or logo on our website sponsor page, on our social media and in our newsletter.

1 free day pass = 1 daily admission for 1 child

Laser-engraved honeycomb = We will have a sponsor wall inside the playground and everyone who donates at the laser-engraved tiers will be able to choose what to engrave on their honeycomb

5 or 10 visit punch card = Either 5 or 10 visits. Each visit is good for 1 daily admission for 1 child.

Founders sticker = Die cut Buzy Bugz Playland Founding member sticker

Founders T-shirt = Custom made T-shirt with Buzy Bugz Playland logo and 'Founding Member' printed on it

Hard hat walk through = During construction, all donors from the $1,000+ tier will be able to join us for a walk through of the facility and see where your honeycombs will be displayed.

Early soft opening invite = approx 48 hours before our grand opening, we will invite a limited number of donors to an early access play night to be the FIRST to see and play on the playground, try the cafe and experience the magic!
