Help Build Bellingham's New Fem and BIPOC Owned Climbing Gym

Hi everyone,

My name is Sophi, and I am very excited to announce that I am working towards creating a bouldering gym. I am hoping to raise enough for a deposit on the SBA loan. I am seeking your support to bring this vision to life!

I dream of a bouldering gym made for training, geared towards everyone. I want climbers to feel like they are in a judgment-free zone, focused on growth and development. Here in Bellingham, there is a need for more wall space, affordable memberships, and safe climbing spaces. I partnered with ICP specifically for their safety standards, including matting, which contributes to more stable landings, decreasing the chance of injury. Their modular systems also allow for expansion, and custom walls are designed for optimal falll zones and safe spaces to project a climb.

Where we are now: I have been working closely with the Small Business Development Center here in Bellingham to ensure a viable business. The concept has been proven by a 3-year financial plan and a contracted market research study done by Intellitonic. A logo and marketing package have been made (but not released yet). I have also been working closely with ICP wall design on walls and safe matting options. My business plan has been completed, and now I am currently waiting for the SBA pre-flight approval and finding the perfect location.
