HELP BUILD BACK MY FASHION HOUSE

Donation protected
Hey Hey,

I have always loved fashion. Even before my first job at my grand mother's thrift shop at the age of 12, Where I got my early inspirations. I built a fashion brand in 2009 of all my original designs, dreaming to one day be featured in the pages of Vogue. In 2019 a repurposing designer discovered my brand and wanted to collaborate for NYFW. Before my eyes, my dream came true, my design for NYFW was featured on Vogue’s runway site. From there the sky was the limit but unfortunately, I’m devastated as it all came crashing down. My dream was taken from me by a fellow small business owner.

I met Dominique Netterville over the pandemic while pivoting with the world of fashion. I created a fashion podcast to inspire other designers during a dark time of uncertainty. After featuring her, We worked constantly for 2 years, accumulating over 15+ released and unreleased ideas including patterns, samples, fabrics . All while diligently marketing Labella Blondie and gaining momentum, demand and notice from top stylists. Dominique and I built a relationship I thought I could trust and I left all my inventory of designs at her warehouse like other clients. Last year Dominique disappeared with everything I had to keep my dreams alive. For months I used every avenue to contact her and she alluded me by making excuses, broken promises and ultimately blocking me on every platform. She completely disappeared with thousands of dollars that I self funded into my brand, including all of my designs and inventory. It saddens me to say there is now a community of small fashion designers who have been left destitute by Dominique. Eventually, I was told by her leasing office that she was evicted and all of my dreams were liquidated. After much heartache, tears and sleepless nights, I decided my vision to change the world with fashion is bigger than this failure. In order to bring my designs back to life I have to begin again as if it’s 2009. I decided to create this go fund me to not only recoup my losses to begin again but to empower myself with education. My biggest hurdle is manufacturing and pattern making, which is why I worked with Dominique. I’ve found courses and programs on pattern making and manufacturing to elevate my knowledge. I’m encouraged that this go fund me is the start of a journey I can use to inspire others like me. I’m encouraged to learn and grow in every aspect of this industry that means so much to me, including the legality to protect myself. I use my designs to empower women to live at their full potential and it would be hypocritical if I didn’t do the same. I’m excited to relaunch my dreams from the point of view of a woman determined and educated.

By contributing you’re igniting the fire of a little girl who had a big dream to own a fashion house in the name of Labella Blondie. Each cent directly uplifts my cause, education and purpose to inspire the world with fashion. I am grateful for people who believe in others as I do. Together we can continue to create a world we want to live in. Thank you for donating and showing me to never give up.
