Help Build an Inspiring Classroom for a Passionate Teacher
Donation protected
You know what they say, we make plans and God laughs. After completing my Master’s degree in Counseling I feel called back to teaching. I was always an excellent teacher and I have a great love for education. I am passionate about education and in the past this has made my students passionate about learning.
One thing that I hope to bring from my counseling career to my classroom is creating a safe space for my students. I am starting from scratch when it comes to teaching and classroom supplies. I got rid of everything and am regretting that. Teachers are not given funds for their classroom set up and don’t get paid until a few weeks into the school year. I am trying to create a really neat classroom and am in need of all kinds of supplies from bulletin board borders to markers to comfort measures such as a cozy reading corner. Every little bit helps and I will be sure to document the process as I build my 5th grade classroom. I am extremely excited to go back to private Christian education as the years I spent doing this job in the past added so much to our entire family. We all grew spiritually. Another awesome thing is that my classroom is connected to Jefferson’s second grade classroom. If you know Jefferson then you know he’s had a lot of health issues and sickness in his short life so I feel extremely blessed to be right next to him all day.
God certainly opened this door and I feel a sense of peace and relief when I go into my future classroom. It’s just missing my flair and I need some help getting everything I need. Thank you in advance for helping this teacher out!
