Help fit out the Australian Computer Museum
The ACMS has a new home... But that’s just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in its rich history. While we now have space for our collection, the amenities need not insignificant work. One of the first things we need to set up is a workshop area for members and retro-computer enthusiasts to be able to work on their own equipment and items from the ACMS collection.
The new premises are in need of many basics such as painting, cleaning, setup of storage shelving, setup of office and workshop furniture, cabling for power and networking, etc. - all the things you would expect of a fit out on new warehouse and office premises. Work and test equipment is also needed to be acquired and set up.
So we need your help to get the space suitable for volunteers, members and enthusiasts to get benefit from the space ASAP, while also providing benefit to the community and the collection. This is just Stage 1 in a series of projects the Society will undertake to not only establish the new premises as the new home the ACMS, but also to prepare the items in the collection for display and outreach programs.
