Hello, I'm Asher, a 3-year-old rescued tuxedo cat with a story of hope and purpose.

In September 2022, my life changed when I met my 'mama.' She was on her way home from the dentist when she heard a faint 'meow' from an empty lot. When she found me by a dried bush, it was a moment that would define both our lives. I like to think of her as my 'angel,' as she reached out to help me. I leaped onto her leg, and she knew she had to rescue me. My left back paw was bleeding, and she looked around for an owner, but I was abandoned, alone. She took me into their loving home, and together with Papa, they cared for me and made me a part of their family. Now, at 3 years old, I'm happy, healthy, and have a loving family.

Our meeting had a purpose beyond our own happiness. We're here to shed light on the issue of animal homelessness.

Christmas 2025 marks the fourth year of my mission, a dream that many of us share—to bring blessings to animals less fortunate than us, to be their 'angels' just like our pawrents are for us.

I've started this GoFundMe to support the Happy Animals Club Animal Shelter (https://www.happyanimalsclub.org/), a non-government organisation in my mama's home country, Philippines. They rescue and rehabilitate dogs, cats, and other animals from cruelty and neglect, giving them a second chance at a loving home. Their only support comes from individuals like you; they don't receive grants, government funding, or corporate partnerships.

Recently, they lost a legal battle to retain the property where their shelter is located. The rescues deserve loving homes but while waiting for their furever home, let's help them secure a more "permanent" roof and safety. Without a proper shelter, all the rescues are in danger of being taken by the government where they might face the harsh reality of life.
