Champaign needs more queer-inclusive spaces — and we’re building one. Amy’s Place will be a queer-owned, community-led dance bar in downtown Champaign, created to fill the gap in nightlife for LGBTQ+ people and allies.
This isn’t just another bar. Amy’s Place will feature affordable drinks, a brand-new dance floor, drag shows, theme nights, and music chosen by the community — from pop anthems to dance hits that keep the floor alive. It will be one of the few bars in town both owned by and dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community, offering a safe, vibrant, and welcoming space for self-expression, connection, and joy.
To make this possible, we need your help. Funds raised will go toward construction, labor, audio and lighting equipment, standard bar needs, and creating a safe and exciting atmosphere. Every donation brings us closer to opening a space where everyone can belong, celebrate, and dance.
