Help Build a Water Project
Donation protected
My name is Leah Fontaine, and I am a 9th-grade student-athlete. This year, my classmate and I are attempting to raise $10,000 in order to begin a project in Africa that helps a community have access to clean water. I am in contact with an organization called charity: water, and I have decided that the best way I can help is to establish a new water project in a country in need. A "water project" is a project such as creating a pipe system or building rain catchments. These projects help communities that are in trouble. 100% of your donation will go towards this project, and I will happily supply proof of the project in action. Lack of water or lack of clean water is a huge problem in many countries. Currently, 780 million people live without access to safe drinking water, and this number is only expected to increase. Lack of safe water kills thousands of people a day and millions of people a year. However, hope is not lost. There are things we can do to combat this water crisis. By donating to this page, you are donating to a project, such as building rain catchments, installing pipe systems, or digging wells. Projects such as these greatly help communities that are struggling due to the water crisis. You will be donating to stop the water crisis. I strongly urge you to donate (if you are able) and share this page.
