Hi, my name is Dhwen Patel, and I’m currently working on my Eagle Scout project to benefit Shark River Park in Monmouth County, NJ.

I’m building 2 Turtle Basking Platforms to be placed in the river at the park. Right now, there are no basking platforms available, which turtles need in order to regulate their body temperature, stay healthy, and thrive in their environment.

This project will help local wildlife and enhance the ecosystem, while also giving visitors a better chance to observe these amazing animals.

The special non-chemically treated wood needed to build this platform can be very expensive, making cost a definite issue. If you would like to help, please donate!!!
