The purpose of this fundraiser is to build a new generation of hockey fans & players at Rickover Naval Academy by launching our first-ever intramural street hockey league.

As many of us know, extracurriculars like team sports can shape the trajectory of a teen’s life in powerful ways.

Street hockey, unlike ice hockey, offers a more accessible option for our 9-12th grade public school students, removing barriers related to skating equipment and travel costs. We expect around 50 students to participate each year, many of whom will be picking up a hockey stick competitively for the very first time.
