We desperately need an all-abilities-accessible new shed and toilets.
Our 160+ volunteers together with community create thousands of Care Kits each year providing essentials and comforts for Qld children in care or crisis.
But we're too crowded and only have 1 tiny toilet.
There is no all-abilities access.
Please make a difference by donating today - to give us a little more space and safety for our activities and 3 toilets for all abilities access.
We're a grassroots nfp charity Care Kits for Kids Qld Inc run totally by volunteers providing free Care Kits for Qld children in need.
We've received requests for up to 4,700 Care Kits in one year.
Please help us raise the final $50k so we can finish the last stage of our all-abilities-accessible shed & toilets build in March-July 2026.
Why it matters?
Our volunteers pack Care Kits containing essentials these children don't have access to:
- 1 new backpack
- 2 sets of clothes (summer or winter) and extras
- 1 set of pyjamas
- sets of undies /socks/croptops
- toiletries -toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, hair brush, hair accessories
- activity / stationery sets
- toys and books
- handcrafted quilt or wrap
Care Kits provide
- essentials, comforts and dignity
- hope and ecouragement for a better future
- evidence that the child is not alone, they matter, and a whole community cares.
Thousands of Qld children in extreme poverty, neglect or abuse are
- without access to toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and hairbrushes.
- Their clothes may not fit; they may even have no undies or nappies
- They may be escaping domestic violence or entering emergency care in a hurry, with only what they are wearing.
