Hello everyone, my name is AS MOM, and I am a proud mother of a beautiful autistic son who has completely changed my life. As a mother raising a child on the spectrum, I see the world differently. I notice the small details others might miss, and I see how deeply our children feel. Most of all, I see my son’s pure joy when he looks at letters, numbers, balloons, and birthday decorations. But I also see something else — I see him crave spaces that truly understand him.
Since many toy and party stores have closed, there are fewer places where children like my son can go and feel comfortable, excited, and accepted. Bright lights, loud sounds, and crowded environments can be overwhelming. What should be joyful moments sometimes become stressful ones. That is why I want to open a toy and birthday store designed not just for the public, but intentionally welcoming to special needs children. This store will offer sensory-friendly shopping hours, carry alphabet, number, and educational toys, provide customizable birthday decorations and balloons, and create a calm, safe, inclusive environment that welcomes all families—both special needs and general public.
This is more than a business. It is a safe space. It is inclusion. It is representation. As a mother, I am building the store I wish existed for my son. I am asking for help to cover initial inventory (toys, balloons, decorations), store setup and sensory-friendly design, rent deposit and equipment, and licensing and startup costs. Any amount—big or small—brings us closer to creating a place where every child feels seen and celebrated. If you cannot donate, please share our story. Together, we can build something beautiful for our children and our community. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in us. With gratitude, AS Mom
