Scoot to the Stars Rescue in Reno, NV is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing the best care for injured and disabled dogs, to ensure they can live life to its fullest! Sadly, the need for placement for these dogs is far greater than the rescue community as a whole can keep up with.

The greatest thing we can do to save many more lives is to expand from rescue to sanctuary, and what we need is space. As founder of Scoot to the Stars Rescue, I am planning to purchase property in Northern Nevada to use as a home sanctuary for disabled animals, but need help to do so. This land will be so much more than a place to house animals in need. The sanctuary will be a place for disabled animals to thrive and will also expand the opportunity to provide resources and education to our ever growing community across the nation.

The sanctuary will allow for more dogs in need to find safety and will also expand to include disabled cats and farm animals.

Dogs will have a safe, accessible area to explore and exercise in their wheelchairs.

Dogs will have access to state of the art rehabilitation equipment on site, which not only ensures they are getting top quality care whenever needed, but it will also save thousands in rehabilitation expenses, in turn increasing capacity for intake into the sanctuary.

Our community will have access to more programs involving education on the care of disabled animals, thus increasing adoptions, and including new programs that highlight injured or disabled dogs in urgent need of rescue across the US.

Many deserving animals will have a safe space to heal and have their second chance to thrive. To have the lives they each deserve.
