Help Build a Preschool in Bomang’ombe - Tanzania

Asking for help isn’t in our nature but for these children and their teacher, Maxime and I have partnered up. We are swallowing our pride and asking you to join us in our mission to build a suitable educational facility.

The Precious Daycare and Nursery School in Bomang’ombe (Boma) Tanzania is where Maxime and I met as volunteers teaching English as a foreign language in August 2021. The school is currently renting space in a private home. Due to the lack of physical space and appropriate accommodations, they are unable to formally register the school.

Currently, the school employs one teacher and services 13 children. The one room school operates out of a 10 foot by 10 foot classroom. The playground consists of a paved driveway. This simply isn’t enough space for the children to learn and grow. In order to formally register the school and provide adequate accommodations, they must meet the following requirements.

1 Classroom for education

1 Room for after lunch naps/sleeping

1 Kitchen to prepare snacks and lunches

1 Office in which staff will prepare lessons

1 Restroom for females

1 Restroom for males

1 Restroom for staff

1 Fence to ensure the children’s safety/security

Access to electricity

Access to running water

Who knew that building a school in Africa wasn’t just for billionaires like Oprah and Lil Jon!?! For as little as the cost of a Starbucks coffee, you have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of countless Tanzanian children. According to Maya Angelou, “If you’re going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark on the world that can’t be erased.”

For an estimated $30,000 USD we can buy land and build a preschool for impoverished children in Bomang’ombe (Boma), Tanzania.

Having volunteered at the school and witnessed the lack of resources, Maxime and I humbly ask that you donate whatever you can; no amount is too small. Rest assured that outside of the GoFundMe “industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + .30USD per donation” 100% of donations will go directly to the project and benefit impoverished children in Boma Tanzania.
