Help Build a House for Menzi's Mom

Hi, my name is Menzi, and I am raising funds to build an affordable home for my mom, Dumsile, in Eswatini (aka Swaziland).

 

Growing up without a home of my own meant separation from my mom and living in volatile homes, homes that did not provide the necessary stability to nurture my development and education. I also suffered a wounded sense of pride since I had nowhere to point to as my home. To change that situation for my younger brothers and create a sanctuary for my mom, who does not have savings for her senior years, I invite you to consider contributing towards an affordable two-bedroom small home.

 

The money will buy material and pay for specialized labor such as electric wiring and plumbing. I plan to save on labor by utilizing my uncle's building skills alongside my younger brothers' and my sweat equity. For example, you can help buy a door at $200, a window frame at $60, and a metal roofing sheet at $50.

 

I recently bought a flight ticket to visit home end of December 2021, and that is when I plan to purchase materials and break ground. Consequently, I would love to have raised the money by the end of this year. Your financial support means the world to my mom and my family. It will not only house my family but ensure a stable home for my younger brothers.
