We are a group of retired Cass Lake-Bena School teachers and we need your help. We are so impressed with the work that Erin Reyes and her small staff have done with the children participating in their gymnastics program. Northern Dreams Gymnastics, located in the city of Cass Lake, on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation, recognizes the need for healthy, fitness-based activities in their rural community. These students need an updated space to grow and improve their skills. Northern Dreams is so much more than a place to learn gymnastics. Children of all ages thrive in the supportive environment which encourages not only physical growth, but positive mental health practices, nutritional eating, emotional well-being, individual responsibility, supportive peer interactions, and team spirit!
We believe in the extraordinary power of community and compassion and are inviting you to join us in raising funds towards part of the costs to cover excavating, concrete, and steel for a permanent home for the Northern Dreams Gymnastics team. The gym has purchased a lot in the city of Cass Lake and they have a building plan ready. Since the initial planning, the cost of building materials and services has nearly doubled and we are looking for support to help them overcome this hurdle. They plan to continue moving forward with hope and determination.
Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement fuels their journey and reminds us that we are not alone in our belief that these amazing kids are worth every bit of time, energy, and money we put forward.
