The Sikh sangat in Wakefield (West Yorkshire) is in need of a local Sikh Gurdwara, a place for spiritual growth, cultural connection, and service. Currently, the nearest Gurdwara is 10 miles away, making it difficult for many families to attend regular prayers, participate in community events, and access essential spiritual support, especially the sangat that work full time with children and the sangat whom are elderly and would like to attend everyday.

We have found an ideal property that will allow us to host daily prayers, Kirtan, and sangat events, as well as provide Langar (free community kitchen) to all who come. However, we are short on funds to close any type of contract on the property, and time is running out.

How You Can Help:

We are reaching out to the sangat for support in raising funds needed to complete a purchase. Your donations, big or small, will help us secure a permanent home for our Gurdwara, where we can continue to serve the spiritual and physical needs of the sangat.
