As Jeff's 40th birthday approaches (December 13th), we're hoping to mark this milestone by making a meaningful difference in children's education - one that's particularly close to our hearts.
In 2021, we had the privilege of visiting Kenya. Not only did we fall in love with the country, the experience itself and people we met during the trip left a lasting mark on our lives. Since then, we've felt compelled to give back to the local communities that keep drawing our hearts back to Africa.
We're raising $25,000 to construct and equip a computer lab at the Charles Wickham Honi School near Nanyuki, Kenya. This project will provide primary school students with access to digital learning resources that many of us take for granted. Education is more than just learning - it's a powerful catalyst for change that leads to better health outcomes, greater social stability, and empowers communities to address critical challenges like climate change and unemployment.
What makes this project special:
- 100% of the funds will go directly to the project. Funds will cover construction, furnishing, and equipping the lab with necessary technology
- With the support of with support from ARES Education, the lab will be equipped laptops and IT equipment, including "Internet in a Box" - an innovative offline digital library that provides free educational content in areas with limited or unreliable internet access
- This initiative will create lasting educational opportunities for hundreds of students in Kenya
- We're partnering with the Footprint Trust, a local organization that supports a diverse range of conservation, health and education projects across Kenya which benefit the wildlife, wilderness and local communities. They will manage the project implementation on the ground.

- Fundraising Goal: December 13th, 2025
- Construction and Implementation: 2-3 months to build; 1 month to equip the lab (Target: Feb 2026)
