THE MOMENTUM CONTINUES: Real Progress for our 2026 Launch!
Personal Note: I remain committed to total transparency. I am currently funding our renovations through personal savings and a part-time job to ensure every dollar contributed goes directly toward opening BBQ Country of WV.
Hi everyone, Eddie here,
I am reaching out with exciting news as we shift from "planning" to "doing." As an East Hardy graduate and Marshall alumnus, I am proud to invest in my hometown. This isn’t just a business; it’s a personal mission to revitalize the old White Star building.
Major Milestones: Infrastructure is Moving In!
We are no longer just renovating; we are installing the systems that will run our kitchen. Recent progress includes:
Safety & Compliance: We officially received a "thumbs up" from the Fire Marshal, clearing a major regulatory hurdle.
Partnerships: Coca-Cola completed their site survey for our fountain system, and we locked in Toast as our POS provider.
Kitchen Upgrades: New kitchen flooring and wall panels arrive this Thursday for immediate installation.
The Dining Room: We are moving in the furniture we acquired last summer to finally shape our community space.
The Heart of the Kitchen: Our custom-built open pit is home in Wardensville after a multi-state journey.
How Your Support Powers Our Opening
We are entering the most critical phase: the transition from a construction site to an active restaurant. Your contributions help us cross the finish line by covering:
Inventory & Launch Costs: Sourcing our first round of high-quality ingredients from regional producers.
Community Presence: Supporting our participation in the 1st Annual Wardensville Spring Fest this May.
Facility Overhead: Managing final permits, insurance, and utilities during this push.
Join the Journey
In our early stages, a dedicated group of contributors raised over $1,800 to spark this vision. If you’d like to join this group and help us revitalize this historic landmark, there is still time to be part of the dream.
Thank you for your grit, your belief, and your partnership in bringing BBQ Country to life at The Wardensville Confluence.
With deepest gratitude,
Eddie Williams
