Help Build a Brighter Future for Our Family

My name is Maggie and my kiddo is Neo. We have had a really hard year and I am struggling to make ends meet.

It started with me breaking my foot just before the new year, a mental health crisis in early spring that led me to quit my job, and recently a car accident that left us without a reliable vehicle.

I started a new business (Care Task Doula) in June, which has been steadily growing. I've been applying to social services with very little traction due to bureaucratic issues.

Despite working full-time, I am struggling with basic costs of living and childcare expenses. I am asking my community for financial help.

My monthly rent is $1650. I am working on getting a roommate to cut down expenses. In the meantime, I need to make it through October.

Daycare is $275/week (that's relatively cheap for those not used to daycare costs). My latest childcare scholarship application was denied, which would have created significant ease in my budget.

The goal of $3500 is based on rent, 5 weeks of childcare (both for October), and a few hundred more to account for credit/debit card fees and a small cushion.
