Hi everyone. This isn't easy to post as we have never run a crowdfunder before and this is very personal but here goes. We truly and sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read out story.

WHY WE ARE HERE:
My wife Sarrah and myself (Brad) want to start a 3d printing business. Our goal is to turn our garage into a full fledged 3d printer workshop where we can provide for our family with our designs, printing services and artwork and also do some real good for the community to help out charities that don't get a lot of attention.

WHY THIS IS PERSONAL:
The pandemic has hit everyone hard and with my work being a very public profile it pretty much shut me down for the next extended period. Being in lockdown was difficult. I missed people. The human interaction that helps me to not get in my head and remember things I can't forget. The incredible people who I've met over the last four years who inspired me to smile more, give more, laugh more and care more than I have ever done.

To all of you I am in your debt. Nerds, gamers, cosplayers and ecclectic people all of you. You saved me. More than all of you know.

I fell into a bad depression, struggling with my state of mind and feeling unable to do anything. So I threw myself into our new home, painting, repairing and getting it ready for our family to move in.

In doing so I did serious damage to my wrist and that hit my depression harder still. What's a person like me to do who loves to do things but can barely pick anything up? So I threw myself into 3d printing just to keep my brain occupied and not slipping further.

Sarrah said to me "we aren't getting any younger and we need to reach for our dreams because if we don't do it now, when will we?" So we decided to make this dream a reality. Something new, something hopeful, something that can make a difference and something to help us stay afloat to give our family a better future.

WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO:
What Sarrah and I are planning is to select various services to donate 3d printed items they are in desperate need of. Selecting a new location each month maybe by poll. From there we will print a toy, item or such for each print we sell, for each spool of leftover filament and maybe even a Patreon where people can donate funds to the charity of the month. We don't want to make this a big deal or seek applause. Our style is to make the items, quietly or subtly donate them and do a little good every day. And even help teach our kids the impact of doing good deeds (yes they will be dragged along to the donation time regardless of being stubborn teens!) My ideas include:
* Animal shelters
* Domestic abuse shelters
* Children's Hospitals
* Childcare facilities
* Schools
and many more that can use toys, tags, utility items or anything else that they could use.

The funds we gather will go to the following:
* Buying more printers with a view to expand to 25+ machines eventually
* Electrical equipment
* Hardware and materials
* Shelving units
* Advertising, graphic work
* Website / Domain / Legal
and many more little things that this operation will need.

I'm not writing this story as a leverage piece to get your money. I'm doing it because I want people to see who I am, how I face my hurdles and how I want to better myself and others at the same time. If anyone I know or don't know wants to help you will have my undying gratitude.

For anyone who does donate, I will be documenting this whole process with photos, data and information given on all donated funds on a blog or such.

So once again thank you for taking the time to read this.

Brad and Sarrah.
