It all started with a small idea in Brussels in 2005, growing into an international movement of kindness. Whether you painted a wall, packed relief supplies, or served a meal, you helped turn that idea into a movement now active in 53 cities across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

In 2025 alone, Serve the City mobilized over 69,000 volunteers worldwide and touched more than 1.2 million lives. We celebrated our 20th anniversary right back where it all began, with 150 leaders from 26 cities and 19 countries gathering in Brussels to look back and to look ahead.

That the same spark that started in Brussels two decades ago is still catching fire around the world. Now our Board of Directors is putting its money where its mission is: every gift up to €25,000 will be matched euro-for-euro, doubling your impact toward launching the next wave of Serve the City cities.

You helped get us here. Will you help match the Board's commitment and take us into the next 20 years?
