Help build 2 boreholes in West Gambia

Hello guys,

I've come to know a young man, Ansumana Conteh, through twitter and we share our faith in Christ. He and his family live in the City of Brikama in The Gambia located in West Africa.

In recent months, I'm thankful to have been able to help him and his family build a borehole near their home which provides them clean water consistently as you can see in the photos and video provided. Ansumana more recently reached out to me with the desire to help villages in 2 specific areas by providing boreholes that will give them more consistent, clean drinking water. As this is the primary way for people of The Gambia to get water, it can be expensive to build the proper equipment needed to obtain it.

We're putting together this gofundme to raise the money needed to cover the cost for 2 boreholes.

Q: How will the money be transferred?

A: The money you donate will go to my checking account, and I will transfer the funds to Ansumana through the sendwave app.

Q: How much does each borehole cost?

A: Drilling the well D40,000 GMD

Two solar panels (each D5,500 GMD)= D11,000 GMD

Sand 1 trip D D4,000 GMD

Stone D5,000 GMD

Borehole materials D 39,700 GMD

Payment for the installer D13,000 GMD

Total: 112,700 GMD

For 2 boreholes, the total amount comes to 225,400 GMD ($3614.49 USD)

Greetings from The Gambia smiling coast of west Africa. My name is Ansumana, 23yrs old and a graduate from high school since 2019. I’ve attached my school certificate below.

I was helped out by Zachary Hunt from Kentucky in the United States. We connected on Twitter and became friends then I shared how life was treating me since the demise of my father in 2017. He used the backway (sea ) to Europe and yet still haven’t heard from him.

Well I came up with the idea of creating Gofundme page in order to help out some villages that are in need of simple water supply ( boreholes). I’m a very poor young man but have aims that I want to do before God calls me. Our government is very corrupt, all those funds giving to them by Red Cross and other charity organizations, they try all means to get share from it. And when it comes to sharing the donors among the indigents. Instead of each to have 100% it will be 35%. Can you imagine such a government. That’s why Africa will never unite because we are never lucky to have leaders that won’t work only for themselves but also for the nation.

I know the internet might probably be a little bit weird to imagine, but the reality behind the scenes remains very touching and heartbreaking for us in here.
