Help Buggy Get Back on His Paws: Cruciate Ligament Surgery Needed
Hi, my name is Chris, and I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend Lexi and her amazing dog, Buggy.
Buggy is not your average pup—at 65 lbs and only 2% body fat, he's all muscle and energy. He’s lived life to the fullest every single day. Whether it’s running, jumping, or just playing his heart out, Buggy has been a powerhouse of joy and adventure. Lexi’s vet gave her the biggest back-handed compliment when they told her that Buggy’s cruciate ligament (the canine equivalent of a torn ACL) ruptured not because he’s unhealthy or unfit, but because he’s had such an amazing life filled with non-stop activity. Buggy plays hard because he loves hard.
Normally, this surgery would be something that might have been needed in a few more years, around age 8 or 9, due to the natural wear and tear of aging. But at just 4.5 years old, Buggy’s love for life outpaced his body’s ability to keep up. His muscle density was just too much for his ligaments, and now he’s in need of a major surgery to repair the damage.
The cost of Buggy’s surgery and recovery is $6,500, and every donation will go directly towards covering this expense. This procedure is necessary to give Buggy the chance to keep living the incredible life he deserves. Without it, he’ll face ongoing pain and a limited future.
Buggy has given Lexi, and everyone who’s had the pleasure of meeting him, nothing but joy. Now, we want to make sure he can keep living his happiest, healthiest life. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to Lexi, Buggy, and all of us who care about them.
If you know Lex, she would do anything for anyone. She is a kind person with a heart of gold. Her love for dogs is unmatched and now that her Bug needs help I would love to see a community of people rally and help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
