Bug, our friendly young cat, has always brought joy and comfort to our family. This past Sunday night, Bug developed a urinary blockage and we rushed him to the ER. After a long night and a transfer to our local clinic, we learned that his original catheter was blocked and needed to be replaced. The clinic tried, but couldn’t get a new catheter in, so Bug was sent back to the ER. There, doctors discovered a large blood clot, which explained the difficulty. Monday night, we were preparing to say goodbye to Bug, but by the grace of God, the ER team managed to work around the clot and place a new catheter. We watched his kidney levels and electrolytes closely, hoping for good news. Bug began to show signs of recovery—he became more alert, drank water, ate bone broth, and purred for the vet technicians. Things were looking up. This morning, we learned his kidney and electrolyte levels were stable, but he was severely anemic. Bug now needs a blood transfusion, and we are nearly out of funds. He has come so far and fought so hard. This transfusion could mean life or death for him, and we are so close to bringing our buddy home. All of the funds raised will go toward Bug’s blood transfusion, ongoing maintenance care, and potentially two more nights at the clinic, where he can receive continuous care and comfort. I understand that some of you don’t personally know our loving kitty Bug, but you probably have a loving pet at home. If you had the chance to save their life, I hope you would do everything you could. That’s exactly what we’re trying to do. Thank you so much for considering—any donation will help. My parents, Drew, and I are doing everything we can to save Bug’s life.
