Hello! I am a transmasc man in my early 20’s living in the metro/tristate area. I'll be going by Bug for anonymity but will reveal myself once I am closer to reaching my goal. I am currently living in an abusive household with my parent and siblings. We have been enduring this parents abuse for a long time, but with recent events, I find myself needing to escape. Within the last year was diagnosed with epilepsy and cluster seizures. This has left me unable to work or drive, and waiting to hear back from disability. The type of seizures that I have are triggered by stress and lack of sleep. Unfortunately, because my home environment is extremely chaotic this has caused my health to decline more over the last few months. Even through all of this I have always been expected to clean the whole house, cook for the family, and take care of my younger sibling. The house fills with filth if I miss one day of picking up and my parent expects my to continue to do these things through broken/sprained bones and hospital stays. Due to the increasing stress and cptsd from my childhood (as well as outside stressors) I have endured 4 hospital stays in the past 6 months. Some lasting for nearly a week. During my last stay I was nearly intubated, and upon arriving home was expected to get back to normal within just days. My parent is verbally abusive, cruel, and puts themself ahead of taking care of my younger sibling/the bills. They instead expect a portion of my disability if I am approved, and ask to borrow money that I have set aside for future medical needs. I am seeking funds to escape this household and find an environment better suited to my health needs; as well as medication and doctor's visits. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
