Hello Mount Bohemia Family! This is Amy Snow (purple wig) reaching out to let you know that our dear friend Buffy (Bethany Aho) and top-notch bartender extraordinaire was recently in a major car accident while leaving Mount Bohemia after work. The accident wasn't her fault and the other driver was ticketed. She went to the hospital and and was treated for minor physical injuries and is still coping with the trauma of the accident.
Her vehicle was totaled, which she had just purchased last year. As you know, we live in an extreme weather area. She has to drive 70 miles to work each day to serve you with a smile. Lake effect snow brings great skiing but challenging road conditions. She is the hardest working single mother I know.
Michigan is a no fault insurance state. Therefor, she is only covered by here own insurance. Even though she has full coverage they will only cover her loan and a small amount beyond that. So far, her medical expenses are being covered.
I am asking that we all come together as a family and pitch in what we can to help her buy a vehicle that is safe to drive in the U.P. snow globe. On top of getting back and forth to work she also has to drive her son to school and activities. This year was extremely financially difficult for a lot of people working in the restaurant industry and the late opening of the mountain compounded her situation.
Please help if you can, otherwise share this with our greater Boho family. If you are excited for her next rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, let's all chip in and get her to the mountain safely!
Thank you friends!
