A lot of you have been asking about Buddy and where he has been. Buddy isn’t just our dog—he’s the official greeter at Waldo Greenhouse, a beagle/Australian shepherd mix with the warmest heart. He loves coming to work every day, greeting every customer, and making sure I don’t run late in the mornings. He truly is everybody’s friend.

Unfortunately, Buddy has been facing a number of serious health challenges. He was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, which means he can’t be outside if the dew point is above 65. His most recent vet appointment revealed that his liver enzymes are triple what they should be, showing his medication is no longer controlling his condition. On top of that, he has now developed diabetes.

As if that wasn’t enough, Buddy also has a tumor on his spleen. On Tuesday, he will be undergoing an ultrasound to determine the severity and the next steps. The boy just can’t seem to catch a break.

Buddy has given so much love, joy, and companionship to everyone who visits Waldo Greenhouse. Now, he needs our help. His medical bills are quickly adding up—from diagnostic testing to medications and possible treatments. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Buddy’s care to give him the best chance possible.
