I'm Geo Brawn. Many of you in the past year and a half that we've been here know me as a Meme Guy on Nextdoor, and many of you know me as the artist who does "Just Bearly," the cartoon in the Loop Newspaper, or as a paint teacher of Happy Little Trees over at the Art Center in Tehachapi. But however you know me, you also probably have seen my best boy, Buddy. He's my dog and best buddy. But the other day he couldn't put any weight on his back left leg, which came out of left field. He's going on 9 years of age and was doing really well. He takes medication for inflammation and physical stress, but out of left field, this happened.

And because of that, I'm reaching out to you all today. His vet bills are going to be BIG, and in spite of all the creative projects I have out here, the vet bills are much bigger, especially if my worst fear comes to light and he's torn his ACL on that leg. But in any case, I'm asking for your help now as I want Buddy to live out his life as happy as possible. He's a rescue, and when I got him during the pandemic, his family had to leave him behind as they moved out of state. He was 6 years old then, and his whole world was uprooted. I had him on dog Prozac for the first 2 years because of his stress, and now I just want him to enjoy every year he has left in this world. If you can see it in your heart and availability to help, I (as well as Buddy) would really appreciate it. Every little bit helps. And he's a good boy.
