Hi, my name is Micki, and I’m raising funds for my cat Buddy—my companion of 11 years—who has developed a nasal mass that continues to grow despite medical management.

Buddy is still eating well. He’s affectionate, alert, curious, and even plays in short bursts. His spirit is very much intact. But the swelling in his face has become persistent and progressive, causing chronic congestion, inflammation, and discomfort that no longer fully resolves between flares.

After extensive discussions with his veterinary team, we’ve reached a painful but clear conclusion:

Radiation therapy is the only treatment that can shrink or slow the growth of this type of tumor.

Antibiotics and steroids can help manage inflammation and secondary infections, but they will not stop the mass from continuing to grow.

Unfortunately, advanced imaging and radiation therapy are prohibitively expensive. The estimated costs include:

• CT imaging to guide treatment

• Radiation therapy itself

• Associated anesthesia and supportive care

Together, these costs are far beyond what I can manage alone.

What makes this especially difficult is that Buddy is not “ready to go.” He still enjoys his food, seeks affection, watches everything I do, and chooses to be present. Without intervention, this tumor will eventually interfere with his ability to breathe and remain comfortable—even though everything else about him is still so alive.

This fundraiser is not about chasing a miracle.

It’s about buying time, comfort, and dignity—and giving Buddy a chance to continue being himself for as long as possible.
