My name is Nic Lifer and I have a 7 year old emotional support animal named Buddha. He is know around my friends and family to be the most cuddly and sweet of boys. I admittedly have a hard time asking for help, in many different aspects of life; but if there is one thing I’ll beg for, it’s money to keep Buddha healthy. He is currently needing TPLO surgery, a very common injury for dogs of his size. As with everyone else, money is incredibly tight right now and it has been upsetting me every day to see him limp.

I would like to share the story of how I got Buddha. I had just got out of an extremely abusive relationship. My logical brain said that if I got another dog for protection, it would be better if anything were to happen. I was truly afraid for my life based on comments this person had made in the past.

Buddha is truly the reason I’m alive right now. He is not a glorified “emotional support animal.” He is a true support, with tasks he does to help me when I’m having a moment of anxiety or a PTSD type flashback.

I know the world and everyone in it is going through a lot right now, I know that money is tight. Every single cent helps and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read, share, and/or choose to donate.
