BUDDHA needs your help...

This beautiful boy is called Buddha and he came into our lives when he was 2 years old. His previous owners couldn't keep him so we adopted him and gave him a second chance. It took him almost 6 months where he refused to let us in his heart no matter what we did(he is a chow chow after all), but finally he opened up to us and allowed us to give him love and affection and he started to enjoy life. Years went by with many good experiences and then suddenly 1 year ago Buddha started limping and he was diagnosed with Elbow Dysplasia in both elbows.

What is Elbow Dysplasia?

"The word “dysplasia” means “abnormality of development”. The elbow is a complex joint because it involves the articulation of three bones. If the three bones do not fit together absolutely perfectly as a result of abnormal development, the consequence is abnormal concentration of forces on a specific region of the elbow joint.

The Elbow Dysplasia gives Buddha pain & discomfort in the elbows and frontlegs and this keeps him from enjoying life fully, he is limping and is on daily painkillers.

The Vets has advised us to do stemcell replacement which unfortunately is very expensive. We have a dog insurance but it won't cover the vet bills for this excact diagnosis(ED). This means that we have to pay all expenses ourselves and unfortunately we can't afford that(trust me, if we had the money we would definitely pay the full amount ourselves).

The full treatment package includes full consultaltion, stance analysis, blood tests, Xrays, platelet rich plasma treatment, joint fluid replacement treatment and stem cell therapy into any joints that need treating.

My partner and I are currently doing what we can within our budget to help him feel better, he gets daily supplements, painkillers, red light therapy and PEMF therapy. All of this helps to a surtain degree but he really needs more help and we are praying that there are some good hearts out there who can help us raise the money.

We love Buddha as a beloved family member and he has enrichened our lives so much with his gentle, loving and fun nature and we would really like to have him in our lives for many years to come as he is also very healthy besides the ED.
