Help Buddha Bear Stay With Us Longer

Buddha's Introduction:
Hello! My name is Buddha and I'm a Maltipoo. I'm currently about 11 years and I love my humans very much. They rescued me when I was 1 year from the pound! The first time they saw me they fell in love because I was jumping around like a bunny bothering other dogs. I wanted to play so bad!!! Finally, someone knew how badly I wanted to play and be loved and I got taken home!!  I've been with my family since then and I've loved every minute of it. (That's me and my mom in the picture, she took me for a ride).

I was given the name Buddha because I like to eat and I'm always extra happy when my belly is full. I have a very gentle, happy, and fun energy. I LOVE to cuddle, that's all I love for. If you pet me the first time we meet, you and I are best friends forever.

What's going on?

Hi! My name is Sarahi Serrano, I'm one of Buddha's humans. This little bear has been such a gift from heaven for the family. He's a rescue and was the first dog we ever rescued from the pound. About 5 days ago, Buddha was unable to move, started throwing up, shaking, and crying. It was very concerning because we had never seen Buddha that way. After multiple emergency walk-ins, our hearts were broken as we found out he was diagnosed with cancer.  Our Vet found a large mass in his tummy and it is actually squishing his stomach. However, we also were informed that it is growing and might be spreading into his lungs. In order to get Buddha's prognosis, we need to complete a CT Scan, that way the Oncologist is able to see how advanced the cancer is.  From there we are able to move forward and see how aggressive we can be with treatment.

How can you Buddha?

However, in order to do the CT scan, we need to pay a bit over 2k, which is something we can't fully afford. We started this go fund me page because we need your help! All the funds collected will be used for Buddha's treatment only. We need Buddha's CT scan to be done approximately by the middle or end of next month. We realistically want to give Buddha his CT scan as soon as possible, however, we can't move forward until we have the funds to do so.

I know that times are currently very tough right now for everyone, however, anything given is truly appreciated. We are frankly very hurt and heartbroken by the circumstances. We have gotten so attached to our Buddha bear, it just breaks our hearts to see him struggle to even get up and walk. Even though he's an old pup, he's had so much energy, and to just see it suddenly wither away has us very sad and worried. We love him SO much, we would do ANYTHING to keep him here with us for a bit longer. We love him so freaking much. He's a part of our family.

How's Buddha doing now?

Buddha isn't in great shape. He has his bad days and some good days. Buddha's appetite has gone down and all he does is stay in bed. He's pretty lethargic right now and very low energy. We encourage him to walk a little bit around the house and the back yard but he can't do it for long.

He's on pain medication, appetite control, and anti-nausea medication. Buddha has been struggling day by day, but we try to still stay positive and give him as much love and motivation each day.

Now :(

Before
He LOVES car rides and is SO good in the car. He loves sitting in the back (all super proper btw) and have the wind blow the top of his head lol.
